There's palpable fear in the camp of APC/Okpebholo over revelations of massive electoral fraud recorded at the ongoing Edo election petitions tribunal, holding in Benin City, the Edo State capital; APC/Okpebholo are principal beneficiaries of the electoral malpractice associated with the September 21, 2024 Edo governorship election, which INEC declared Okpebholo winner amid roping controversies.
The Party and governor are said to be unsettled due to the embarrassing consequences flowing from the fraudulent poll, which is now subject of daily expositions at the court room.
Popular opinion suggests the governor and his agents are making frantic efforts to fight back the revelations, observers believe however that the national agitation for public institutions and electoral reforms will likely hinder Okpebholo's attempted fights.
