Something big, as tribunal insists on impartiality, fairness, equity and justice

_...leaving Okpebholo stranded in Abuja_

By Gidigba Group

The Edo election petitions tribunal since commencement of hearing in Benin and subsequent relocation to Abuja, has exhibited an impartial, just, fair and credible body language, despite attempts by APC/Okpebholo to muscle the tribunal, the Justice Kpochi-led 3-member tribunal has put up a commendable outlook.

Having recklessly abandoned governance in Edo, the Edo governor, Monday Okpebholo, have not only become a regular tenant in Abuja, he has moved the entire APC superstructure and Edo's lean resources to Abuja, attempting to get justice through the back door.

However, the tribunal's insistence on impartiality and its avowed determination to uphold the ideals of fairness, equity and justice, has left Okpebholo brutalized, helpless and stranded in Abuja, despite the large resources in his possession.

There is high unsettlement in APC/Okpebholo's camp, considering the volume of evidence tendered by PDP/Asue-Ogie, which has boxed the mandate thieves to the corner.

The poor performance of their witnesses under cross-examination, their inability to convince the tribunal of their questionable victory and INEC's shocking withdrawal from the case, further places APC/Okpebholo on a very dark spot.

Edos are optimistic, the hopes are high, the town is agitated, voters have expressed readiness to mount the stage the moment PDP/Asue-Ogie reclaims their mandate through constitutional provisions, underscoring the illegitimacy that surrounds Okpebholo's governorship.

And as March 3rd fast-approaches, for the adoption of written addresses, and the world watches, the Edo election petitions tribunal, having shown uncompromising commitment to be impartial, fair, equitable and just in the discharge of its constitutional duties, leaves Okpebholo stranded in Abuja, despite the mind-boggling resources in his possession.
