Gidigba—a Benin-based socio-political organization has hailed the election and subsequent inauguration of the PDP new executive in Edo State.
The group noted that the process leading to the election and subsequent inauguration of the exco was commendably peaceful, seemless and largely transparent.
"We commend the peaceful and transparent process leading to the emergence of a new executive of the Edo PDP; we are hopeful that the men and women that now stands in front of the Party will advance greater inclusivity, stronger unity and sincerity of purpose, noble ideas for which the Party is built on".
"Beyond winning elections in the field as it were in 2024, Edo PDP must consider developing strong platforms to protect and defend its victory in and out of the court room regardless of the Party in power at the centre".
"PDP in Edo must reinstitutionalize Party politics, making the political space increasingly attractive for popular participation—the Party must eschew primitive, bitter politics and pursue strong ideologies that deliberately develops her members and provide quality leadership for Edo people".
"We are hopeful that the Edo PDP new exco, now led by Tony Aziegbemin, will rally the wealth of political, administrative and professional experience of its new State executive, to further solidify the Party and prepare it, spirit, body and soul, for electoral victories and strong defense".
