High Priest Osemwengie Ebohon, a renowned native doctor, culture expert, collector and preservator, has hailed the EMOWA initiative situate in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The Poet described EMOWA as a wonderful masterpiece that will leave in the memories of the Benins for centuries—Chief Ebohon called for the preservation and continuation of the facility, urging that authorities must not allow it to erode on the back of politics.
Ebohon commended Obaseki for the innovation, noting that he only met the former governor once at Protea Hotel in Benin City, when he was invited to deliver a keynote address on human trafficking.
Chief Ebohon promised to engage the Oba of Benin to secure his blessings for the facility, noting that EMOWA is "food for thought", deserving the support of all—Chief Ebohon described how the Edo former governor intervened when security agents tried to stop him from exchanging insights with the governor.
Chief Ebohon noted that most of the things Godwin Obaseki did were aimed at uplifting the well-being of the State, calling for the preservation of legacies.
The elderstatesman who spoke on VOICE OF BENIN TV, hailed the initiative, dedicated to the preservation of heritage, expansion of knowledge and celebration of West African arts and culture, conceptualized and started during the Obaseki-led government.
