All Acting Council Chairmen in Edo South warned to suspend any planned "coronation" of "Iyaloja" in Benin markets

We hereby send a strong note of warning to Ag Council Chairmen in Edo South, to desist from carrying our any planned "coronation" of "Iyaloja" in their local government areas. 

The immediate suspension of the planned "coronation" of Madam Iyabo, as market president in Egor local government area, should serve a clear example for the remaining local government areas in Edo South to follow. 

To this end, we call on Acting Chairmen in Oredo, Ikpoba-Okha, Ovia North East, Ovia South West, Uhunmwode and Orhionmwon, to immediately call off the proposed aberration in their localities. 

"Iyaloja"—an alien development, is unacceptable in the Benin culture and the Kingdom's market community, as clearly stated by our Royal Father, His Royal Majesty, Omo n'Oba n'Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II CFR, Oba of Benin, and affirmed by the ancestors and the majority of the Benins worldwide. 

We have deployed our eagle eyes to monitor compliance to this directive across LGAs, any Benin Acting local government Chairman found wanting will be summarily declared an "OGHIONBA", "OGHIENVBO", and dealt with according to the Benin custom and tradition. 

It is abominable for Okpebholo to want to snatch Benin markets from the Omo n'Oba and gift to Tinubu's daughter for silly political obedience—our markets, alongside their cultural paraphernalia are our heritage, our identity and our pride, any attempt by Okpebholo to disparage our culture, will be meant with stiff resistance. 

Acting Chairmen, be warned.
