After my first investigation into Edo State’s $250 million “deal” with EuroAfrica CCI went viral, something remarkable happened.
EuroAfrica CCI quietly changed the phone numbers on their website. The original number I called, which connected to a Yoruba-speaking woman in Ibadan, who said she knew nothing about EuroAfrica CCI, disappeared overnight. They even typed the new numbers so hastily that one of them had a typo inside it.
When I asked their representative about that original number, he flatly denied it was ever on their site and instead gave me another line, claiming it belonged to their Director General. But the internet does not forget. Screenshots don’t lie.
Even more explosive: in the same interview, the EuroAfrica CCI representative admitted, in his own words, that “the deal has not been signed”, directly contradicting the Edo State Government’s public claim that the $250m deal was already sealed.
So which is it?
• Edo State Government says: “Deal signed.”
• EuroAfrica CCI says: “Deal not signed.”
• Nigerian newspapers echoed: “Landmark, secured, sealed.”
Both cannot be true. Someone is misleading Edo people.
Meanwhile, there is still no evidence of financiers, no MoU made public, no project sites, and no breakdown of allocations. And when I pressed them about their earlier promise of a $300 million agriculture and ranching investment from June to December 2025, the response was even more laughable, a story we will unpack in another video.
This is bigger than politics. This is about accountability, truth, and the dignity of Edo people. If this deal is real, then publish the MoU, show us the financiers, and show us the projects. Until then, Nigerians deserve answers.
