In a rather disturbing, hopeless and disappointing twist, Edo governor Monday Okpebholo, has said rising insecurity in the Country is because some people don't want Tinubu to win the 2027 election.
Okpebholo who has failed as governor to propose a single solution to heightened insecurity in his home state of Edo, believes that the kidnappings across the Country are moves to stop Tinubu's victory in the forthcoming poll.
More than one hundred kidnappings has occurred across Edo State since Okpebholo came on board November last year—his one year plus in office has been marked with multisectorial setbacks, with insecurity rising at an all-time high, due largely to the administration's lack of policy to tackle emerging issues.
Observers notes that Okpebholo's statement on insecurity reeks of an ignorant leader, with no understanding of the direction of governance and no solution to everyday issues—this of course has become the norm in Okpebholo's Edo.
"How does a State governor attributes rising insecurity to plans by persons to stop Tinubu from winning election, is all that matters to Okpebholo election; this is terrible", an observer notes.
Okpebholo has been advised to sit up and be serious with the business of governance; yes we know he doesn't have the capacity to discuss serious issues at fora—economy, financing, policy, he must however, stop dragging Edo to the mud with his everyday mishaps and discordant talks.
