THE WAY TO ERADICATE EVIL IN THE LAND

Crusaderhotnews

Nigeria today faces a growing challenge as criminal activities such as kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, cultism, and other violent crimes continue to threaten the peace and security of the nation.

The time has come for every Nigerian to wake up from slumber and embrace the responsibility of building a safer and more just society.

The fight against evil cannot be left to the government alone. It requires a united front involving all critical stakeholders in society.

Religious leaders, traditional rulers, native doctors, political leaders, security agencies, community leaders, and citizens must come together around a common table to chart a practical and lasting solution to the menace confronting the country.

As the saying goes, "darkness cannot survive where there is light." Therefore, every stakeholder must carry a torch of responsibility, integrity, and accountability. These torches must illuminate every corner where criminality seeks to hide and thrive.

One of the measures that should be considered is the strengthening of laws and the strict enforcement of penalties against those found guilty of heinous crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism, and cult-related killings.

When justice is swift, fair, and certain, it serves as a strong deterrent to would-be offenders.

However, punishment alone is not enough. There must also be sustained efforts to address the root causes of crime, including poverty, unemployment, drug abuse, and moral decadence.

Communities, families, schools, religious institutions, and government agencies must work together to promote values that encourage honesty, hard work, and respect for human life.

Let every Nigerian become a torchbearer in the fight against evil. By speaking out against crime, supporting law enforcement, mentoring young people, and refusing to shelter criminals, citizens can help create an environment where peace and security flourish.

If all stakeholders unite with sincerity of purpose and the Federal Government provides the necessary support and political will, the nation can significantly reduce criminal activities and restore hope to the people.

This is my humble submission and contribution to the ongoing conversation on how to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria for present and future generations.
