British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, has died after suffering a fatal medical emergency following a cosmetic penile enlargement procedure during a holiday in Thailand.
Ubiribo, who was also known online as “Ego” and “Denisi,” was in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he underwent the procedure at an unnamed clinic on March 5, 2026.
Evidence presented during an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court showed that about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected as part of the cosmetic treatment.
What was supposed to be a luxury holiday, however, quickly turned tragic.
After the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly went for a massage. During the massage, he complained of chest pain and lost consciousness twice. He was subsequently taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok.
Doctors suspected a serious medical emergency and recommended further investigation, including a CT scan. But before the scan could be completed, Ubiribo's condition deteriorated and he lost consciousness again.
He was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism — a blockage in the blood vessels supplying the lungs — and was transferred for emergency treatment. Medical staff reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. He died in the early hours of March 6.
A subsequent post-mortem examination in the UK reportedly found cellular material in Ubiribo's lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the treatment had caused the fatal pulmonary embolism.
The circumstances surrounding his death have now drawn attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic filler procedures, particularly when carried out abroad.
Ubiribo was known for documenting a lavish lifestyle on social media and had built a sizeable following online. His death has left friends, followers and loved ones mourning the 43-year-old businessman months after the incident occurred.
The case also serves as a sobering reminder that cosmetic procedures, even those presented as routine or minimally invasive, can carry serious medical risks.
