The most important of all political questions in Edo state right now should be directed to Governor Godwin Obaseki as how he was able to bring Positive Result out of a Sinking state.
As a Political scientist close to an Economist in the same Field, I quit understand that Economists deals extensively, if not majorly on Demand and Supply.
And while the Political scientists believe that the Economy of a System depends on the nature of "Planning", Economists on the other hand tends to associate the nature of any Economy with the level of "Demand and Supply".
As an Economist that Governor Godwin Obaseki is, I know very well there is no way on planet earth where he would have succeeded with just the Economic knowledge.
This is simply because, the Edo state that was handed over to Governor Godwin Obaseki was a big mess, almost bigger than Economic Intervention and just like the empty Central hospital, there was nothing left in the State's treasury.
It was even far worse than the Central hospital because unlike the Central hospital, there were loads of Debts like a combination of all the dumping site of the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo state, waiting for Obaseki in his office.
While even in Sane Societies, no Political system can survive the nature and kind of state left for Obaseki in 2016, it was surprising that the Technocrat did not only make the State to Survive, he also made it to continue running without hiccups even in the midst of the so many systemic pathology inherited from his predecessor.
The question now is, how did Obaseki achieve this Record? For me, this is certainly above Economic knowledge, it takes a man with a High level of Intellectual Capacity, with wide Economic knowledge and Political Intelligence, mixed with the Grace of God to Survive what Obaseki Survived, Continued Running and constantly bringing out Positive results from.
While it is normal to have enemies of progress and witches and wizards in every Society, including their agents and followers who can never be pleased with the Progress and Development of such society or the humans therein, those who are not among these bad entities must continue to challenge and defeat them in order to Obtain, Sustain and continually Consolidate on this Development brought about by Good and Wonderful Administrators.
For us to do this therefore, we must be ready, eager, committed and dedicated towards the return of every good Administrator who so wish to return, such as Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and his Deputy Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu.
This is why we call on all Sons, daughters and well wishers of Edo state, home and abroad, to rise up this day and take their Destiny in their hands for we can not allow one man who do not mean well for the State and who has never meant well for the State, because of greed and selfishness, drive away the fine Political Product and Great Administrator our God almighty has given to us in the 21st Century of numerous Political Demagogue.
*All Rise! For it is time to protect the future Good governance, our lives and that of our generation yet unborn with Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki*.
