HELPING THE POOR AND AFFORDABILITY OF UNIVERSITIES OWNED BY CHURCHES

Crusaderhotnews

*_...before you condemn on daily basis, ensure you are better and tell us the role you have also played as a Critic_*

Some people always feels Pastors do not help the poor and at the same time, specially against the unaffordable University built by Churches which according to them should be affordable to the members of those churches. You might actually be correct even when I do not belong to that School of Thought owing to fact I am very much aware of the high level of Infrastructural development in those Christian Universities which most times are not obtainable in Government University, especially State Government's Universities. Therefore, these Universities might actually be having a high cost of maintenance including salaries which they need the school fees to solve.

At the same time, I still feel the Churches in question might have built those Universities as an investment on the part of the Church, which I believe we shouldn't expect to be free. This is because, if the Church had also decided to build a Petrol station instead of a University as an Investment, you wouldn't expect them to be giving out fuel for free just because it belongs to the Church.

Another thing is, we do not actually know what the profit of that University is used for, it might at the same time be directed to Welfare which you and I do not know. Just like human beings, while some Churches sees it to be normal for them to be on camera showing that they are helping the poor, giving raw cash and making their act of welfare public for the world to see, other churches see that as a waste of time, what is really not necessary, what is against their principle, ethics or something that is totally wrong religiously and morally, therefore, they prefer to do it secretly or behind the scene and even hardly say it to other person's hearing.

It is on record for instance that in the whole of Nigeria, Winners Chapel has contributed the highest to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Nigeria and they have made it a custom to keep contributing without stopping, this same church gives as big as 1 billion Naira Scholarship every year and has a budget targeted to Heath sector annually (which it contributes to health), etc, even when they are neither Federal Government nor State Government. While I stand to be corrected about the above information, you should understand that this is the same way many other Churches do theirs behind the scene, just like some human beings help people and do not like to announce it whereas others naturally love to take their camera along with them when helping people or doing some philanthropic gesture, for reasons best known to them.

But, I also have a question, among many of these persons who have taken it as a duty to continuously take on these churches and/or General Overseas, as if they themselves are the most generous people on earth, how many of them have poor people living with them in the flat they rented or house they built for themselves? How many homeless poor people have you taken away from under the bridge, from the street and from walk ways to live with you in your own house? Do you only specialize in attacking pastors and churches on social media or it is only pastors and churches that God gave the responsibility of helping the poor?

These are some of the questions we must in all sincerity ask ourselves and continue to meditate upon. Are you perfect? Since you claim these pastors are not doing it, how many have you done? If you claim you are doing it and can't come to be announcing it to the world (as a usual excuse to find excape route), what makes you feel pastors who are human beings like you should come and announce theirs to the world. Don't you think Las Las, many of those who shout up and down against pastors on social media are even perfect example of Stinginess in the midst of greediness and high handedness? Whether you like it or yes, the above questions are very imperative and in fact punishment to those who belong to such category. Those who have different Opinion may be Right as I have said earlier, while I am wrong and at the same time, I might also be the one who is right while they are wrong, but let us think about it.
