BENIN CITY- The Leadership and Members of Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa, Benin Zone, have congratulated the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N'Oba N'Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II and the Benin Royal family on the birth of a new Prince to the Kingdom
Recall that the Benin Traditional Council (BTC) through the Iyase of Benin ( Traditional Prime Minister), Chief Sam Igbe during a press conference on Monday announced that one of the Oba's Queens, Her Royal Highness, Queen Iyayota of Benin has put to bed a healthy baby boy.
The Movement in a statement issued by the President in charge of NBM Benin, Ambassador Osaretin Blessed on behalf of the organization today in Benin City, heartily welcomed the addition to the great Benin Royalty, noting that members of Benin Zonal NBM joyfully rejoice with the Monarch and Palace.
According to the Movement's statement: "It is with great joy and delight that, we congratulate His Royal Majesty, Omo N'Oba N'Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II and the Royal Palace of Benin Kingdom on the new addition to the Benin Royal family.
"No doubt, the arrival of the new Prince is not only historic but has also further expanded the splendor of Benin Royal Family and by extension Benin Kingdom, and we pray that the greatness of the Kingdom continue to grow without bounds in the fruitful years to come.
"This remarkable event is indeed an auspicious and timely blessing to humanity as we continue to celebrate Your Majesty's reign with all the remarkable achievements since Your Majesty's ascended the ancient throne of your forebears.
"May God bless and keep safe the new Prince and grant him good health, happiness and long life, Oba Gha Tokpere, Isee!!!".
Ambassador Osaretin also extolled what he described as pragmatic efforts and innate diplomatic acumen of Oba Ewuare II in sustaining the development of culture and tradition of the people, saying the Benin Kingdom has experienced tremendous transmogrification that has returned the kingdom to its place of pride as the cultural and traditional hub of the black race in the comity of monarchies.
In another development, Ambassador Osaretin Blessed, has prayed Almighty Allah to accept Muslims acts of worship as well as granting their requests especially during this month of Ramadan, urging muslims across the state to always cleanse themselves spiritually in order to reap the benefits of Ramadan.
He advised Muslims not to allow the ravaging effects of COVID-19 pandemic deter them from carrying out their spiritual duties during the Ramadan period.
"I urge all Muslims to continue with their act of worshiping (ibada) and beg Allah to forgive us our sins.
"We should observe sincere repentance from any of our wrong doings and pray for Allah forgiveness for the sins we have committed knowingly and unknowingly.
"I wish to further remind all Muslims to adhere to all measures prescribed by governments and our leaders to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
"That is, maintaining social distancing, using of face mask, hand sanitizers, and hand gloves amongst many other precautionary measures.
" We should also continue to avoid congregational prayers and ramandan lectures and continue to pray for progress, peace and tranquility of our country", expressing hope that Allah, no doubt would ease difficulties brought by the Coronavirus through the provision of vaccine for cure as soon as possible.
