EDOCSO LEADERSHIP TUSSLE: Suit Suffers Setback Due To Incurable Defection:

Crusaderhotnews

The leadership suit instituted by Comrade Curtis Ogbebor and others had suffered a setback today when it came up in the state high court in Benin City.

The first applicant had approached the court for a declaration as the substantive Coordinator General of Edo Civil Society Organisations having being nominated to pilot the affairs of the organisation on interim capacity pending the conduct of an election. He has filed for an interlocutory injunction for the restrain all the respondents.

The respndents in the suit are Comrade Omobude Agho, Osazee Edigin, Omoruyi Egharevba, Justice Itietie and Austine Enabulele who were represented by U.L. Osa-uwagie Esq.

The defendants' counsel had drew the attention of the court to the defectiveness in the process filed by the applicants' lawyer who failed to sign the process on behalf of the chamber. In his words, it is incurably defective hence the matter cannot continue as it cannot stand on nothing. The interlocutory injunction couldn't be entertained due to the defectiveness in the applicants'suit.

The learned Judge agreed absolutely with the position of the respondents' counsel and requested that the position be put into writing and the case was adjourned to 9th June, 2021.

The court room and outside were filled with activists that were led to court by Bishop Osadolor Ochei who is the Interim TEC Chairman of Edo Civil Society Organisations.

We will recall that Curtis Ogbebor led interim leadership was dissolved by The Extended Council over gross misconduct and attempt to derail the aim and objectives of the coalition.
