Hon. Prince Joe Okojie bag Two Award as NANS Zone B, NAESS Honours Him.

Two students Union body, National Association of Nigerian Students  (NANS) zone B, and National Association Edo State Students (NAESS) UNIBEN Chapter, has on Friday honoured a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Hon. Prince Joe Okojie, with a humanitarian award and award of excellence at a colourful ceremony on 21 January, 2021, in Uromi, Esan North East LGA of Edo state.

NANS zone B, is responsible for students in the 6 South South states and those in the 5  South East States, while the NAESS,  is the students body responsible for Edo State Students in all tertiary institution in Nigeria.

While making the presentation to Hon. Joe Okojie, the director of Action and Mobilization NANS Zone B, Comr. Iyayi Victory,  disclosed why and how the PDP chieftain merited the award. He said, “We are giving this award today, in recognition of your passionate professional capabilities, outstanding leadership acumen, commitment, integrity and professionalism, and also for your various youth empowerment programmes, extensive knowledge in job creation and employment and selfless service to humanity.”

He added, "NANS saw the compelling need to reward the good radiance of those who had stamped their imprimatur for the society to grow." 

Iyayi Victory,  pointed out that one had to meet NANS criteria before he or she was conferred with the humanitarian award.

The President of National Association Edo State Students (NAESS) University of Benin (NIBEN) Chapter, Comr. Iyen Osbem, while presenting the association award, described Prince Joe Okojie as an outstanding personality, politician and businessman who has distinguished himself in all the aspects of life.

The NAESS scribe said that Prince Joe Okojie's humanitarian gesture across divides endeared him to the association.

He then on behalf of the body encouraged him not to relent in doing well.

In his remarks, Prince Joe Okojie said the award has inspired him to take a decisive step in putting his best to develop his community well, pointing out that achieving the feat entailed a great deal of commitment, courage and absolute sacrifice.

Prince Joe Okojie, said  his flair for giving back to the society, putting smile on the faces of widows and developing education was emboldened by his resolve to always see that people around, his home town and the state at large are happy.

He thanked the associations for honouring him, adding that it had come at a time when he was not expecting it as he was yet to be satisfied with the contribution he has made so far.
