Operatives of the anti kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit of the Edo State police command acting on complains Received from a resident of ogheghe community In Ikpoba Okha LGA , Benin City on the 14/05/2022, at about 0230hrs, that he woke up from sleep and observed that his HP laptop valued at #200,000. iPhone 11 handset valued #500,000, iPhone 12 handset valued #650,000, Apple wrist watch valued #200,000 were no longer where he kept them.
He also said his Toyota Camry car 2008 model with Reg. No. BEN 660 NQ was also removed where parked while burglary proofs of the windows to his room were forcefully damaged and carted away valuable items.
On receipt of the aboved information Operatives immediately swung into action and through intelligence gathering led personnel arrested one DESTINY OJI 'M' (27), in his hidout at Dawson Road by forestry in Benin City, Two iPhones handset and the Toyota Camry car belonging to the complainant were recovered from him
The Suspect is cooperating with investigation while frantic efforts are in top gear to arrest Other gang members.
The Commissioner of police, Edo State Police Command CP ABUTU YARO, FDC while commending the prompt response of the police team , also used the opportunity to assure residents of Edo State that the Command under his watch will have no hiding place for Criminals elements and their conspirators in the state .
