Compliments of the day fellow compatriots of this great nation, I bring you greetings from my leader comrade Emmanuel Agbogun (Human Rights Activist) our coordinator of Edo Peoples Advocacy Organization of Nigeria. who is currently under detention at the oko correctional service Benin City Edo state due to false allegation levelled against him by one superintendent festus Agese, officer in charge of the Anti Vice unit zone 5 police command Benin City edo state and some identifiable land speculators and grabbers. I am posting this here on behalf of my leader so as to enable the general public, concern civil society stakeholders and member's of NBA Edo state to intervene so he can get justice, regain his freedom as a law abiding citizen who has always fought for the oppressed. And this bad cops of zone five police command be investigated and prosecuted according to the laws of our land. Please concern members of the public should draw the attention of the apex police authorities cum leadership of the Nigeria Police Force as my leader who has been desposed of his fundamental human rights for doing due diligence as a comrade of the masses.
To the issues at hand, It will interest all to note that on the 29 of March 2023 comrade Emmanuel Agbogun was called at about 7:20am on phone while he was in far away portharcourt to visit his family and friends, by the okhaigele of ubiaza community off Benin sapele road in ikpoba okha local government area.
That the former ubiaza CDA community chairman was perfecting plans to invade ubiaza community with the cover of police officers from zone 5 police command anti vice unit and some members of the edo state security network and cultists from upper sapkonba. Due to the fact that the community arrested the CDA chairman, for initially mobilizing armed thugs to ubiaza community that lead to the death of a youth of the community. The angry youth of the community went as far as destroying his house in the community..
my leader comrade Emmanuel Agbogun (Human Rights Activist) Who is currently under remand at the oko correctional Centre Benin City Edo, over a false allegation of murder, arson and conspiracy levied against him by superintendent festus Agese officer-in-charge of the anti-vice units zone 5 police command and his co conspirators who are proffesional land grabbers that hired the services of festus Agese in perfecting their plots through pettions to invade ubiaza community and the homicide unit zone 5 police command who is not willing carry out uncompromised investigation to ascertain facts that they are been mislead by the officers of the Anti Vice unit headed by festus Agese. Who is using them to establish their evil intentions and cover up unprofessional conduct and abuse of office..
festus Agese is doing this coup like take over acts in several community's in benin city as I write.. obagie nevbosa, egbean and others are under his iron grip of oppression..
on the issues at hand it will interest all to note also that on the 29th of March 2023 my leader comrade Emmanuel Agbogun after receiving a call from the okhaigele of ubiaza community off Benin sapele road in ikpoba okha local government area. My leader immediately reached out to the commissioner of police Edo state, Cso government house , AIG zone 5 and festus Agese officer in charge of anti vice zone 5 that The former ubiaza CDA community chairman has perfected plans to invaded ubiaza community with armed vilgilantes and armed thugs with the coverage of police from anti vice unit zone 5 in the guise of investigating a petition.
my leader reached out to all the above mentioned Authorities excluding the late AIG zone 5⃣, at that time the AIG was indisposed. My leader first reached out call was to superintendent festus Agese who denied any knowledge of the planned invasion of the community that very 29th of March 2023 stating that he was investigating an approved petition given to him by the indisposed AIG of zone 5, comrade Emmanuel Agbogun call to festus Agese was at about 8am to 9am in the morning and my leader promised to bring the said okhaigele and elders of the community as soon as he got back to Benin in two days time.
My leader also placed a call to the cso Government house intimating him of the planned invasion of ubiaza community and cso government house reached out to the DC zone five immediately who was incharge of zonal comand. Thereafter my leader reached to the Commissioner of police who instructed that the community should reach out the dpo of ologbo in charge of the divisional area. Which he immediately called the okhaigele to go to the police division to inform the police which he did..
It was at about 6pm in the evening that the okhaigele called my leader that the former CDA community chairman still came with policemen from zone 5 and his armed thugs to the community and started fighting him in the presence of the zone 5 police and military men that he must be arrested, in process it lead to several shot out between the former cda community chairman armed thugs and local vigilante of ubiaza community which lead to the death of the cda chairman and the burning of his cars and that of the police and thugs by the angry youths of the community and that the ologbo division was already at the seen with them at the time of calling my leader
days later a co land grabbers and master minder from the neighboring community one osabohen osagiede who has severally lead attacks on ubiaza community from obaretin community who is one of the major mobilizer of thugs to ubiaza community and whom was at seen crime too, caught some vilgilantes of ubiaza community for went to get food and handed them to the zone 5 police anti vice unit whom then established a case of murder, arson and promoting natives war etc.
When Comrade Emmanuel Agbogun got the information he discovered that he needed to investigate what was going on so he got the police report and discovered that festus Agese was doing everything to cover the truth and is criminal activities.
First festus Agese and his officers claim not to have any prior knowledge of the planned coup like invasion by his petitioner the former cda chairman of ubiaza community . Which is not true as comrade Emmanuel Agbogun called him that very morning and promised to bring the okhaigele and elders of the community before him.
Secondly they lied that they were only two police officers that went to ubiaza community with an 18 seater bus from the office which was a lie. Because both the Anti-vice officers and vilgilantes and armed thugs all left zone 5 at the same time
Thirdly they lied that the vilgilante that was held by youths of the community was a vilgilantee of the community which was not true.
Fourthly they took side with thugs that was mobilized by the former ubiaza cda community chairman that they were not the one who shot the deceased whom was at the center of the shot out..
On the arrest of comrade Emmanuel Agbogun the current Deputy Commissioner of police zone police who instructed that Comrade Emmanuel Agbogun be charged to court alongside others Blountly refused to Acknowledge the fact that the police report was compromised and characterized with lies and misinformation. Secondly he refused to see proof of comrade Emmanuel Agbogun not being in Benin city Edo state at time of the crime.. he was boastful saying that I am lying despite the fact that I told him I have a formal petition against the Anti Vice unit approved by the Inspector General of Police.
Despite Charging comrade Emmanuel Agbogun to court the police has refused to send his statements to high court 2 to enable them forward his statement to DPP for advice....
The Anti Vice unit must be investigated.. and brought to book
The Inspector General of Police should order for an independent investigation into the issue's raised because injustice anywhere is a threat to justice every where. Emmanuel Agbogun was never arrested he went to the zonal police command before his oppresive detention
