Edo NUJ to mark World Int'l Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists and Media Workers

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council will on Thursday November 2, 2023 mark the 'World Int'l Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists and Media Workers.'

November 2nd of every year was set aside by the UNESCO to condemn all forms of attacks against journalists and media workers across the world.

As part of activities to mark the day in Edo State, the chairman of the Edo NUJ , Comrade Festus Alenkhe will have an interactive session with journalists and students of Royal House British International School at the Conference Hall of the NUJ Press Centre, No. 1 Sir Gabriel Igbinedion Way, GRA, Benin City, beginning at 12pm.

Students of the school will use the occasion of the visit to present an Award of Excellence to the NUJ chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe in acknowledgement of his fight to end impunity for crimes against journalists.

All members of NUJ and other journalists in Edo state are by this notice invited to the event.
