The Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande, has been commended by traders of Kara market for his intervention in the grading and sand-filling of the Kara market road in Ward 4 of the local government area, on Saturday.
Traders at Kara market, predominantly of Nigeria Northern extraction, noted that the Osayande-led administration remains a major blessing to their trade, as the local government boss continue to maintain a solid synergy between the Council and Kara traders through works and other developmental initiatives.
Saturday morning, the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, moved men and materials to Kara market to commence the grading and sand-filling of the market road, a development that has brought joy to the thousands of traders and other residents who daily plies the road.
The Osayande-led administration's road rehabilitation programme commenced December last year, a move that has seen to the grading and sand-filling of more than four hundred (400) earth roads across Ikpoba-Okha local government area.
Kara market road was undergoing major rehabilitation as at the time of filing in this report.
Few months ago, the environment department of Council and waste managers were all out to evacuate the heep of refuse accumulated in Kara, creating more space for trades; members of the community in return, have reinstated their support for the Osayande-led administration, commending the administrative style and the numerous people-centred programmes of the Council Chairman.
