Osayande, Okhuarobo, Idehen, Ighiwiyisi, others gathers crowd, as Ikpoba-Okha takes Asue-Ogie campaign to Oregbeni, Ward 2

Ahead the September gubernatorial election in Edo State, the Ikpoba-Okha Campaign Council, on Wednesday, took the Asue-Ogie gospel to Oregbeni in Ward 2 of the LGA.

Aimed at further sensitization of the Oregbeni community on the need to support Asue-Ogie, the team visited Oregbeni market women, Igbo community around the Ramat Park, Keke riders around the GUINNESS area and the Akenuwa residents, all in Ward 2 of the local government area.

The Wednesday visit, led by the Director General of the Asue-Ogie Campaign Management Team, Ikpoba-Okha local government area, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, charged members of the Uteh community who trooped out in large number, to support the PDP Candidates ahead the September poll, Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie. 

Speaking at the campaign rally, a former Member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Ikpoba-Okha constituency, Hon. Henry Okhuarobo, commended the teeming members of Ward 2 for the large turnout, with an assurance of accelerated development, particularly the rehabilitation of earth roads around the Oregbeni community.

The Oregbeni community members commended the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman for the massive grading and sand-filling of major earth roads in their area, they declared continuous support for the Osayande-led administration. 

"I assure you that if you support Asue-Ogie to government house this year, more good things will come to your community", Osayande added; he narrated how about two transformers have been donated to the community in his administration, with the most recent, being a 500KVA transformer donated to Akenuwa residents for improved electricity power supply; he revealed that an additional transformer have been earmarked for the Ward. 

The Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman went further to itemize various developmental initiatives his administration has embarked on in Oregbeni, including the construction and expansion of the Oregbeni market and frequent evacuation of wastes in the area. 

The Osayande market money programme, for which over two hundred Oregbeni market women have benefited was also commended; the market women hailed the initiative, noting that the market money, which has become a policy/programme of the Osayande-led administration, has impacted greatly on their trades. 

Meanwhile, the Ikpoba-Okha local government Chairman, has directed another round of his market money programme in Oregbeni market, where about one hundred market women will benefit. 

The market women who turned out in large number, were seen singing and dancing to the amazement of the visiting campaign team, further solidifying their unwavering support for Asue-Ogie. 

Moving from the community town hall, the campaign council was seen moving from one market store to another, a move that saw to more women trooping out in solidarity and support, ahead September 21; they hailed the campaign council for visiting their stores individually, noting that their areas are secured for PDP/Asue-Ogie.

It was funfair as men, women, and youths took to the streets to preach the "pathway to prosperity" of the Asue-Ogie campaign train. 

The Arewa and Igbo communities also featured prominently, with strong assurances to rally behind the Asue-Ogie candidacy. 

The hundreds of elders, women and youths who were present at the meeting on Wednesday declared supportive mandate for PDP/Asue-Ogie, as the September guber poll fast-approaches. 

Thereafter, the team moved to Igbo area of the Ward around ramat park, where a large crowd of Keke riders and other Igbo traders were waiting to receive the team; cheers and songs rented the air upon sighting the PDP train; addressing the residents, the Ikpoba-Okha local government Chairman, alongside his Vice, and other members of the campaign train, charged them to continue to support the PDP; Osayande commended them for their overwhelming support during last year's local government election; he assured that he will continue to work with people across culture for the good of Ikpoba-Okha. 

Agigbo area of Ward 2 was next to visit as the team met with Keke riders, traders, small business owners, transporters and other members of the area, who declared support for the train. 

"We are with you; this zone is a PDP zone, we see what you are doing in Ikpoba-Okha local government area; we are ready to support you, your programmes are very good and we want to see more good things in Ikpoba-Okha, we are with you", Ward 2 residents assured. 

The team made a final stop at the Akenuwa area of the Ward; again, securing the overwhelming support of the people; Akenuwa commended the Ikpoba-Okha Council Chairman for his numerous programmes; the residents, who were in obvious satisfactory mood hailed Osayande for donating a transformer to the area, rehabilitating their roads, and engaging their women and youths in meaningful ventures. 

The Wednesday meeting with Ward 2 formed the second leg of the campaign movement of the Council; recall that Monday, Ward 1 received the train, where a vast majority of people turned out to support Asue-Ogie ahead September. 

Vice Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Osamuyi Idehen, who hails from Ward 2, was seen on the front line, charging the market women and other residents, for increased support. 

Director General of the Ikpoba-Okha Campaign Council, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, Deputy Director General, Ikpoba Hill zone, Comrade Austin Uhunmwagho, Vice Chairman, PDP, Ikpoba-Okha, Pst. Paul Osazuwa, women leaders and a host of others were amongst the Ikpoba-Okha campaign team that visited Ward 2 on Wednesday.

The Ikpoba-Okha campaign council is scheduled to visit Ward 3 on Friday, in continuation of the propagation of the PDP/Asue-Ogie gospel.
