NUJ Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, Receives Doctoral Fellowship Award

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, has been honoured with a prestigious Doctoral Fellowship award by the Institute of Public Sector Management (IPSM), United Kingdom.

The award ceremony, held in London, saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including the President of IPSM, Dr. Samantha Radford. The Institute, founded in 1982, is a global body that promotes excellence in public sector management.



While presenting the award, Dr. Radford praised Dr. Alenkhe for his extensive knowledge and expertise in managing public sector professionals, stating that he has consistently demonstrated the qualities deserving of the fellowship. She commended his outstanding contributions to journalism and public sector development, describing him as a seasoned professional with an admirable drive to achieve notable developmental goals.



A member of the IPSM Governing Council, Dr. Lanre Sharafa, also spoke at the event. He lauded Dr. Alenkhe's exceptional commitment to professionalism, noting that the Institute had closely followed his work over the years and found him deserving of the honor.

Dr. Sharafa highlighted Dr. Alenkhe's remarkable impact on the public sector, which the Institute carefully monitored and acknowledged with the award.

Speaking on behalf of the Alenkhe family, the awardee’s younger brother, Mr. Ephraim Alenkhe, described his brother's achievements in the public sector as exemplary. 

He praised Dr. Alenkhe's unwavering dedication, commitment, and selfless service, which have endeared him to many.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Festus Alenkhe expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to his passion for making a meaningful impact on humanity.
