Our attention is drawn to news being peddled by some agents of the Okpebholo-led government, falsely claiming that some Edo Line passengers kidnapped in the early hours of today have been rescued.
For the avoidance of doubt, over 29 passengers were kidnapped today, without any reprisal from security operatives—the abductors comfortably discharged passengers off Edo Line bus and a SIENNA, and commandeered them into the forest.
News of rescue peddled by government agents is fake, misleading and contrived to divert attention from the real issues—as at the time of filing in this report, the victims are reportedly still in the bush—in fact, news has it some victims' families are already mobilizing funds to secure their freedom, as the Okpebholo-led government remains incapacitated.
Our hearts and prayers are with the kidnapped, as some reportedly prepares to reunite with their families having been paid ransome for.
