Nollywood actress and Abia governorship aspirant Doris Ogala has taken aim at Omega Fire Ministries founder, Apostle Johnson Suleman, over comments attributed to the cleric about electricity supply in Abia State.
Ogala, in a social media post circulating online, challenged Suleman over an alleged claim that Abia enjoys 24-hour electricity, questioning the cleric’s position on the issue and accusing him of misleading people about the situation in the state.
“How dare you come to say that there’s 24-hour light in Abia, and you claim you weren’t campaigning,” Ogala was quoted as saying.
The actress, who has previously criticised the Abia State government over electricity and other issues, said the reality experienced by residents was different from what she claimed was being portrayed publicly.
Ogala also issued a warning to Suleman, alleging that she possesses information about an incident that allegedly took place at Protea Hotel in Lagos.
“Suleman, I know a lot that will shock the world. Forget that I said I don’t know you; I know a lot that happened at Protea Hotel, Lagos, including room numbers,” she said.
She went on to threaten to make what she claims to know public if Suleman continued to make statements she considered misleading about Abia.
“I will use you as an example to put an end to pastors using indirect speech to campaign for failed leaders,” Ogala reportedly added, while also mentioning Pastor Jerry Eze in the post.
Ogala's political involvement in Abia
Ogala's criticism comes against the backdrop of her increasing involvement in Abia politics. In August 2026, she declared her intention to contest the 2027 Abia governorship election and described her ambition as a “divine mandate.”
She has also publicly challenged claims about electricity supply in the state, saying that residents do not have access to 24-hour power. Reports on her earlier comments said she had spent several months in Abia and based her criticism partly on her personal experience there.
The actress has further criticised claims surrounding development at Ariaria International Market in Aba, arguing that the A-Line section was constructed during the administration of former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Protea Hotel allegation remains unverified
Ogala's latest comments have attracted attention largely because of her reference to the Protea Hotel incident and her claim that she knows the room numbers allegedly connected to it.
However, the specific incident she referred to, as well as the details of the alleged room numbers, have not been independently verified by the sources reviewed for this report. There is also no verified evidence establishing the nature of the alleged incident.
