Rainstorm Disaster Victims: Osayande Takes Delivery Of Relief Materials

The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande has taken delivery of relief materials from the Edo State Government; this is to cushion the adverse effects of the rainstorm disaster that displaced families in some areas in Ikpoba-Okha between August 28 and 30 last year
The Council Boss has directed that worse-hit families in the locality will form major beneficiaries of the State Government relief programme; the items has been delivered to the Council Chairman on Monday afternoon at the Ministry of Works, Sapele Road, Benin City
In furtherance to his directive, Dr. Eric Osayande has inaugurated a sub-committee at the Local Government to oversee the transparent distribution of relief materials to last year's rainstorm victims at Ikpoba-Okha; families from four (4) Wards, including Wards 2, 4, 6 and 7 have been earmarked to recieve relief materials on Wednesday at Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area
The relief materials form the Godwin Obaseki-led administration's response to the plight of families and homes across Edo State who were wrecked havoc, displaced and rendered homeless by the heavy rainstorm in August, 2018
The distribution of items to Ikpoba-Okha on Monday was supervised by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Special Duties, Hon. Gowon Yakubu; items include:
37 bags of rice, 20 bags of garri, 37 bags of beans, 250 cartons of Indomie, 25 jerricans of Palm Oil, 25 jerricans of Groundnut Oil, 125 bags of cement, 62 bundles of zinc, 12 bags of 3" nails, 12 bags of 4" nails and 25 packets of zinc nails
Dr. Eric Osayande has directed the Ikpoba-Okha sub-committee to contact victims to pick up their materials on Wednesday
