The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande, has been adjudged winner of the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA 2024).
A letter transmitted to the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman in April reads, "the Nomination Committee of the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA) and the Editorial Board of The Medals Magazine are pleased to inform you of your emergence as a Winner of the coveted award and to invite you to a one-day workshop on Accelerated Grassroots Development for Local Government Administration in Nigeria".
Speaking further, the organisers noted, "your emergence is based on the response of the general public to our opinion poll and thorough scrutiny of grassroots leaders whose activities and contributions to the development of the rural populace stands them out".
"Your activities, especially efforts in the area of Human Development/Rural Integration in your local government within the period you are in office is a model for successive local government administrations in the country", it added.
The Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande, will receive the award Thursday 23rd May, 2024, at the National Merit Award Auditorium, Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, 1.00pm Prompt.
