If there is anything any participant in

the 2024 International Men's Convention (ECMFI), CGMI, should take home from the convention; it is a lesson in saving culture and managing resources.

It is on record that the men’s fellowship did not go cap in hand looking for financial assistance to host the international convention, according to the fellowship international president, Rev Eghosa Igunbor, who attributed this feat to savings and prudent management of resources. “This fellowship has never wasted any leftovers from previous conventions, but saves it for the next one,” he said.

Before MENCON 24, the fellowship leadership had taken decisive steps to save or cut costs, not the least, replacing national leadership meetings with online/digital meetings and replacing printing/production of some conventional materials with digital postings.

Recall that some guest speakers at the convention, including Bishop Wale Ajayi, Bishop Asuquo Akpan-Ekpo, and Rev. Charles Apoki, encouraged the men to imbibe consistent saving culture.

“ When you receive any money, label it and it will become a registered trademark,” Apoki said.

Bishop Ajayi referenced the Holy Bible where God used Joseph to save the Egyptians and neighbouring nations through savings..
