All is not well in APC/Okpebholo's camp, all is not well at all; revelations of massive electoral fraud for which favoured Okpebholo in the September 21 Edo guber poll, is causing serious crack in the governor's camp.
All attempts by the governor to get President Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing Edo election petitions tribunal seems to be meeting a deadlock; reportedly, the Edo governor is relying on Abuja politicians to help get Tinubu's ears, a move that is likely to return abortive.
Meanwhile, APC/Okpebholo's imminent loss at the tribunal is fast destabilizing the governor's camp, having seen the gale of exposures of electoral fraud and the tribunal's commitment to do the right thing, the Party and governor are making frantic efforts to at least get a rerun; hence the governor is now moving from one end of Benin City to another, pretending to be working.
President Tinubu has completely backed-off of the matter, showing signs of unwillingness to dabble into judicial matters.
Meanwhile, revelations from PDP witness in Egor LGA on Friday, shows that INEC fraudulently added 5,530 votes for APC/Okpebholo in the local government area last September, an exposure backed up by compelling court exhibits; this development further compounds APC/Okpebholo's dilemma as the tribunal progresses.
"You can't get a rerun in an election you provably lost", observers have told APC/Okpebholo.
