The sacked former illegal acting Chairman of Uhunmwode local government, Osas Iredia, has been suspended for anti-party activities.
Iredia, elected Councilor under the PDP in the 2023 local government election, is one of the Councilors who betrayed their PDP, launched kangaroo impeachments on their Chairmen, and illegally took over Councils as illegal acting Chairmen.
Iredia, alongside his illegal acting Chairmen colleagues, has since been discarded, after a brief stay in office.
While others are trying to retire back to their Councilor seats, Iredia's ordeal seems far from over, as he has just been slammed a suspension notice for "anti-party activities".
A letter signed by the Leader of House, Uhunmwode local government legislative arm, Ada Osasu, reads, "that Hon. Iredia Benjamin Osas, Councilor representing (Umagbae North Ward 5) has been suspended indefinitely by the Honourable Councilors; this is as a result of anti-party activities, breach of code of conduct of the House rules, gross misconduct and misdemeanour."
Iredia's suspension follows his refusal to honour an invitation by a 3-man ad-hoc committee constituted to investigate allegations of anti-party leveled against him.
